REPLACEMENT OF MISSING TEETH

Fixed Dental Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. They are typically bonded to the surrounding teeth on either side of the gap and function as artificial replacements for the lost natural tooth. Since this can be quite expensive in the long run, it is best for people who have lost a single tooth.

The procedure removes a tooth from a jaw, shapes it into an artificial tooth, and places it on the missing tooth’s spot. The artificial tooth is held in place with crowns and dental cement. It usually requires two appointments with your dentist: one for an x-ray and diagnosis, then another appointment to have the bridge bonded into place.

The first step of the procedure is to create a dental crown. This is done by taking a tooth-shaped impression and filling it with plaster. It is then sent to the dental laboratory where it will be processed and made into a dental fixed bridges. Next, we will need to cut the teeth on either side of the space that we want to fill in order for them to fit into place perfectly. We will then attach the two pieces together by screwing them together or using an adhesive material such as adhesive putty or denture cement, depending on which kind of bridge we are using. When this is done, our dentist will check if everything fits and looks good and then finish it off by shaping and polishing the surface for a nice finish.
